Policy & Objectives

Policy: Service for the less fortunate.

Objectives: Attaching the youths to society and creating awareness among them about the services and rights of disadvantaged classes so they grow up as complete human beings; helping children and juveniles flourish; and making disadvantaged people skilled through training.

Programs the Organization Adopts

  1. The main basis of the organization is serving distressed humanity.
  2. This organization will work as thoroughly non-political, non-profitable, secular, voluntary and social welfare based organization.
  3. It will conduct welfare-based humanitarian activities through financial cooperation by developing fraternity among all classes of people of the society and the country at large.
  4. It will extend financial cooperation from its own fund for economic and social development of non-organized, rootless and lower-class people.
  5. It will work for the rectification of juvenile offenses and providing jobs for physically and mentally handicapped people.
  6. It will arrange distribution of sewing machines; weaving, typing and computer training; and rehabilitation/job placement.
  7. It will make efforts for the development of morality and character of all classes of people irrespective of religion, caste and creed.
  8. It will undertake distribution of pure drinking water, sanitation, cleaning of water bodies and drains to save the environment from pollution.
  9. As education is the backbone of a nation, it will spread education, distribute books free to distressed, poor and meritorious students, and run adult literacy centers.
  10. All members will play the role of volunteers during natural disasters.
  11. To eradicate dowry, no member or their family will take dowry and they will raise consciousness against it.
  12. Financial assistance from the organization’s fund will be provided to fathers burdened with unmarried daughters and for burial of unclaimed bodies.
  13. It will provide maximum assistance in education, health, environment, safe maternity, child welfare and rehabilitation of distressed people.
  14. It will take initiatives for the establishment of human rights and values.
  15. It will arrange recreational activities (sports, cultural programs, exercise, picnics), publish educative materials, and celebrate the organization’s anniversary.
  16. It will observe national and religious programs and activities.
  17. It will cooperate in compulsory birth and death registration in the locality.
  18. It will act in programs for HIV/AIDS, drug, bronchitis prevention, anti-acid violence and awareness creation.
  19. The organization will arrange for its own land.
  20. It will collaborate with various social welfare organizations and work hand-in-hand with them.
  21. It will conduct an “Old home” for distressed, old and helpless men and women.

JAR FOUNDATION’s mission is to mobilize Bangladeshi institutions and individuals towards Bangladesh’s socio-economic development. We began with an integrated focus on the needs of one village, Middle Halishahar Munshipara in Chattogram district. Our purpose is to create lasting change through volunteering.
